And no way. I didn't notice. I have to swing by Brenner for a new headlight bulb tonight so I guess I will have to go creep on it. I cant wait to see the new Q coupe. I bet its hot. |
As long as the make the rear sleek on the coupe it should be sweet.

I got a question for you though...what exhaust are you running? Are you running some custom single 3" or are you running a dual exhaust? Edit: NVM Looked at the pics of your build again. |

and while duals would look the best.. I think best gains would be out of a single |

Single single exhaust would look bad a$$.
Unfortunately I've seen no rear bumper which is built for single exhaust. You may want to fibre glass the other side of the bumper to make it flash with the diffuser. |

You'll have to have the center exhaust cutouts (both) removed, and replaced with a functional diffuser to block the gap and have a single cut in it. That is what I think will look best. However, no one can deny how good a single sounds on our car... :yum: |
Single exhaust sounds way too cool on our cars. I couldn't be happier.

Looking forward to seeing it in person. |

I really want to make to one of the meets so everyone can see it at once. Hearing it is the better part though. :driving: |

and I had some ideas for your rear exhaust if you ever wanna talk chop |

And yes I'm always down. Were going to sketch and CAD some stuff next week probably. |

and BP.. meh, my kit came first so naturally it's better :bowrofl: i was actually looking at using a BW Turbo for the next step... I think it was MFI.. I would have to go back an look into my notes and convos about it.. but shooting for a strong, smooth curve.. and I sadly don't have CAD.. I would probably not be screwed out of all my ideas if I had CAD. lol but I do a pretty mean PShop lol |
Quote:
Yeah I mean I respect BP's kit but I don't like how he came in talking...my kit this my kit that, I do this for my customers and not that. Like is this a for sale ad sir? And regardless Im pretty sure he has a bit more time into this sort of work than 2 20 year old kid so whatevs:bowrofl: If I had the money this build would've been a mid mount EFR 6258 Twin turbo. Luckily AAM is building a kit with those turbos so I will still get to basically see our theories on those turbos come to light.lol But yeah it would've taken like 8k to fully develop everything...This build after selling my boltons cost $2500 basically. Patrick(boosted_MX5) uses solidworks for all of his designs. Extremely useful for a couple of homebrew builders. |

if it goes well, expect big numbers from me tho  |

Expect? I demand sir. DEMAND! big numbers. |

Hahah its like the single exhaust fanclub in here right now.

I just need a larger exhaust now.. I am willing to bet it frees up 10 pwnies |
The car sounds like the gates of hell just opened. Legit its insane. I don't think I've gone past 50% throttle and 4psi (I get to drive this thing around and datalog while Cody's stuck at work) and it's already quick, and that's on pegged full rich fuel maps when in boost. Once the fuel maps get sorted and we start messing with vvt and vvel it will be an absolute blast.
