I went with the S1 kit. Charles was saying that since we have the BP kit the S2 hard lines can be fun to work with. To be honest even pegging out my AFR gauge at 10:1 under boost it has 0 issues holding fuel pressure. So once I dial back the fuel and get it around 11-11.5:1 under boost I am going to see even less of a drop as I do now.

If you do get the kit and want some pointers I learned a couple things along the way, lol. Charles was a big help and was texting me pictures all weekend and answering my questions. Couldnt be happier.

Got muh car detailed! He spent a few hours on her. Best part about it is that nanocoating. I can literally just rinse the car and it comes out spotless. He made a thread about the process.

Mitco39 09-24-2014 10:18 AM

Thanks guys!

Just finished a trip to the mountains with a local car club out here. I picked a few of my favorites of the car that were taken by a guy on our cruise.

Mitco39 10-02-2014 09:03 AM

Very cool mark! thanks for that. Looking forward to next year

Mitco39 10-02-2014 09:23 AM

On a side note I went out 2 nights ago just to see if I could launch the car in 2nd (actually launch it, not just do a long burnout) and there is just no way it will happen. 1st is much to short and 2nd is much to long. I was really hoping to get away from that 1-2 shift but its just not going to happen.

nomodsjk 10-02-2014 09:43 AM

I really like your wheels. They look great with that color paint

lol. I did look at this actually, but was told it makes the car pretty much not streetable. I could no longer use it for road trips as the whine would make you want to die. But can you imagine the shifts! lol.

wheee! 10-02-2014 10:14 AM

We can talk about it tonight at the Z Club meeting....

That sucks. Have you change gearing in the rearend?

No But I dont think you would want to go much shorter because then you would have to shift once more at the top of the 1/4 mile. I just wish 1st gear was a little taller. Maybe with a beefy clutch? Even then thats alot of heat from slipping it that much.

I guess I could experiment with going taller. I just know next to nothing about working on differentials. lol

I know Mr.Squeeze swears by it.

I agree 1st gear is completely useless now. I have trouble shifting fast enough 1-2.

I came across this last year. Not sure if it would help us or not.

Well isnt that neat. I would be curious to know how it can find the gates if your hand on the shifter cannot? Does it just slam right through them? In a dogbox its pretty simple but this not so much.

Tried looking for more info without anything. Maybe it didnt work?

I have no idea. I was walking through the new product area and saw this... VQ... 6 speed... ok, got my interest. There wasn't much to see or read, basically exactly what the pictures are.

I didn't bring it up earlier because I thought it must be for some other kind of Nissan VQ that I don't know about, thinking this would have been all over the forum if it was for our car.

Mitco39 10-03-2014 12:04 PM

According to their website it will work on any cable shifter system. However our cars do not have cables, its a direct linkage to the gearbox.

wheee! 10-11-2014 08:13 PM

So! Anything new and interesting Mitch? :p

Mitco39 08-24-2015 04:57 PM

I have not posted in here in some time I see, lol. We finally got settled in our new place with a much bigger garage with room for activities :) Went through some fuel issues and now that the engine side is 100% I was able to do a few aesthetic mods to it over the weekend.

Yeah, if it didnt come with the house I probably would have went with a 2post just because you can do much more with it. For example try dropping the engine with a 4 post or lifting a cab off a truck. haha. But it came with the house so im not complaining, our next shop will have a 2post.

Let me know when the dyno arrives lol

Mitco39 08-25-2015 03:44 PM

With our dollar dropping like a dead fly it might be a little longer. Nothing like paying a 30% premium now... ugh

Wiggins3377 08-25-2015 06:49 PM

... look at those side skirts

Mitco39 08-27-2015 11:40 AM

Soooo... Did a pull against the wifes 5.0 Ford last night, man they are fast. Stayed on my bumper all the way through at 11psi of boost. Time to turn it up some more! haha. Of course she had no chance in the turns tho.

Good info to know. Bet that was fun!

YzGyz

Mitco39 08-27-2015 04:29 PM

Yup 100% stock, I was surprised. Id probably begin to start pulling on her after 120 but I didnt want to push it that far. This was on a pull from 60 up. She had a stupid smirk on her face all night. lol
