I'm with Nex. Plus there was a kid on the forum, can't recal name that had to do a ton of bodywork to them to make them fit right. If they are painted u cannot do any work to them without having to repaint them. Also like Nex mentioned they will not match properly if not blended into the rest of the body panels correctly.

Glock had the AreoJacket/UAM fenders not the Carbon Signal fenders. He did have the Carbon Signal Raptor front bumper, and their add-on spoiler molded in. |

I need to give a special thanks to GTM on here for pulling through on my oil cooler. It looks BRAND NEW!!!! I don't wanna sell it anymore. Buyer is picking it up today too lol. Lucky guy. He got it for a steal. Especially after looking at these pics. The hardware was bagged, zip ties included, lines were cleaned and bagged, bracket realigned on both edges with a new coat of paint, they also rewelded the corners too. Oil cooler mounting tabs were realigned, painted, and oil cooler was thoroughly cleaned and pressure tested! They also found an O ring that fits the billet sandwich plate to boot :) They really came through for me on this. I was stressed out about it's prior condition and this just made my morning.

Picking up the car this afternoon Holy shjt, 550/410... Will update when I get more info...
Still driving. or tomorrow morning, I'll update when I have it in my possession :D Edit: Combined dyno numbers post here. I just got into Rancho Cucamonga, so GTM is closed, I'll have more info in the morning. Sam said everything is running great, but my existing AC issue stopping when the car isn't moving and blowing hhot air is still there. It may be more sensitive now with all the stuff up front. I think something is wrong with the system as it shouldn't be doing it as often as it is. Regarding the numbers, I still need to see if its on their Mustang dyno or converted to dynojet numbers. He said he would email me the stuff earlier, but I'm still waiting on that. He would prefer to deliver the car with that problem fixed, but I'll make my decision tomorrow after I talk more with Sam and drive it. Either way, those numbers he told me are crazy |

The numbers just look very much like dynojet numbers and they know they % difference between their old and new dyno. Of course, it would be great regardless, I'm just awe struck. This is the first time my Z put up numbers higher than anticipated... Like 50-60whp more lol. I'll do a full write up with pics vids, dynos and review tomorrow... If I can bring her home. Edit: mustang dyno is set up to output similar numbers to a dynojet (I think) I decided to leave the car with GTM to have methanol injection installed, get my AC working correctly and the fan module for the high fan setting broke. It will be there for at least two more weeks. the quoted numbers are indeed converted to dynojet numbers. But oh my effin goodness, that car is absurd! It drives like a Z with more power at slow speeds. Everything is just butter. Once past 3500 rpm I can really feel things open up. 1st gear is just sacrificial to your tire God. Outside of that the car holds traction surprisingly well. But the reality is, no one will truly understand how refined this car feels, and how fantastic it feels to drive until you're in it. I'm amazed. Words just feel inadequate. I felt like a little kid, the smiles on mine and my Wife's face was permanent. The money spent felt irrelevant. It's absolutely outstanding. I did confirm the superchargers are Rotrex C30-94's which are the largest in the line. Sam seriosly did four pulls on the dyno while tuning and it put down what it did. They weren't even going for big numbers! GTM will post a thread on the finished product so I'll let them finish this off and then just append it here. I serious stand here amazed and lost for words to fully describe it. It feels so natural and evolutionary in the way it feels and makes power! Regarding meth, after talking with Sam we decided it was the better way to go. Essentially the Vegas heat will murder the motor in it's current tune. Timing will retard like Simple Jack. To preserve the motor and maintain it's current power level in Vegas, I felt it a smart idea. On top of this, the headers and new toys under the hood make under hood temps insanesly hot. So yeah, another big expense for the sake of reliability... Oil temps stayed at 180-185 throughout my hooning session. Fangs were removed as well to get more air flow on the sc coolers. The superchargers make a faint high pitched whine too. Darth Vader BPV sound effects rock. The Whiteline sways are great. Not sure what they set them at, but roll and understeer were minimal. New rotors lines and pads made a big diff in brake feel, the car has much more initial bite too. The clutch feels stiffer with the JWT clutch/flywheel. It def chatters. I don't mind, Wife wants me to upgrade to an OSG unit when it goes. Sam feels it won't last too long at these power levels. The flywheel really lets the engine spin quickly, I noticed it immedietly, more so then pulleys. SRM is rev matching like a champ, it feels much more aggressive. I dig it. That's most of the good stuff I can think of in my 15 min drive. Hood struts... Eff that prop rod. |
Sad I didn't get a chance to see it, but glad to hear how great it runs. Keep the updates coming!
|
Dammit I was glad to see your car gone so they would start on mine again. :stirthepot: funny I recall u saying that a few mos ago :roflpuke2: so glad it was worth the time and money and that the wife is equally happy. As we both know if momma isn't happy life sucks
|
Congrats man!!!!I can't wait to see pics. I will definitely have to come to C&C in Vegas and check it out.
|
Good news
|
Great to hear everything went well and that you are happy. The power curve on this bad boy should be very special compared to the other sc kit. Can't wait to see your dyno graph. Keep up the good work.
|
Sounds like the outcome was everything you had hoped for and then some. Congrats, and enjoy your car's new personality.
|
Well correction... 550 whp lol, no meth. I think we can conclude that this kit performs.
Also note, these numbers are with PPE long tubes, Motordyne Y pipe and resonator, and Tanabe exhaust. Holy shjt does it sound good, I couldn't believe what I was hearing... No rasp, not super loud, and just mean as all hell. GTM has vids they will post in their own thread, I don't want to steal their thunder in their thread. Words are so woefully inadequate. http://www.the370z.com/members/ss_fi...ph-min-max.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/ss_fi...-no-bumper.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/ss_fi...-no-shroud.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/ss_fi...-no-bumper.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/ss_fi...e-sway-bar.jpg |
Wanna swap differentials? 7AT's ratio is lower so you'll be able to put the power down a lot better or be able to USE your gears, lol
|
Lol, I'll stick to the stock rear end for now. It seemed manageable still... Surprisingly.
|
Damn you, swap stock diffs with me
|
You're welcome for the sway bars dammit!!!
This WHOLE build couldn't be where it's out without me!!!

Superchargers have their own oil cooler, and I have two 19 rows. There is an upgraded radiator hiding too.
Edit: Combined some of my posts. Updating first page with links and initial review I posted earlier. Also forgot to add a 4th pic I had in the original pics post. |
In one of your last posts, you said that you chose the C30-94 superchargers (largest ones available). What size of supercharger pullies did you go with?

SS, was your car tuned with EcuTek or UpRev?

You will be fine with the stock rear with the way the blowers build power in a linear fashion. As long as you have a decent suspension and tire set up you will have a blast driving the car. |
Quote:
Edit: Still running stock suspension, just sways. Tires are still Re50a's... Planning on Swifts and Nismo dampers, maybe coilovers if I'm feeling froggy. I'll replace tires later this year after they are worn down. Thanks MrSqueeze on the info about the rear end. It didn't feel like the power was overwhelming the rears, first gear isn't good for anything besides part throttle though... even when rolling in the power :) |
Congrats Firehawk! Really impressive stuff. Looks like our cars will be shop sisters no longer. On the upside, hopefully they can turn to finishing mine now! GF is trying to make inroads on my second garage spot.

8/26/2013 (combined post) I attached some images of a cat that was supposedly on my car but old pics say it isn't. I bought a resonator last year and I think I received a cat instead. So now I think I have two cats. Sam says a resonator is on the car, but I have a feeling it's still the same cat I had for a while. He said he would swap them for free so it's no big deal whether it's on the car or not. I'm thinking that these numbers are with a hfc in the Y pipe and not with a resonator as he told me. He did use the phrase "I think". Anyways, pics below. I don't have inside pics of the piece on the car, but it is most def a cat when I looked at it a year and a half ago. Top image is the one i think i already had and sill on my car. Bottom is the new one... It's clean as a whistle, no exhaust residue

It was about a one week turn around time. Pics below... http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/z...psb0304a17.jpg http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/z...psf0df8426.jpg http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps261605d6.jpg http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/z...psebff49da.jpg She's a beauty! I'm super excited to test the number differences as well as the sound difference between the two. May need to make a stop at Fry's and pick up a Go Pro and mic setup. Added pics of the Meth reservoir GTM put in my car. It's located in the hatch just below the strut tower bar. Not sure what the white thing is... most likely a pump of some sort? http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/z...psc023c7bd.jpg http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps558144c2.jpg http://i822.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps523d00d3.jpg Anyways, tentative pickup date is Saturday! Tomorrow they should be finishing up the retuning, the fan module and any other loose ends. We'll see if there will be any more last minute show stoppers! I have this POS Sentra rental I'm dying to get rid of. No cruise control, no cigarette plug in to charge stuff, no key fob, only one key lock on the driver side door, and it sounds like someone stuck a lawnmower on a motorboat with the CVT it has. It's just awful. This time I will upload vids and pics of the Z... |
