You should know what the new one looks like. We were talking about it on FB. The same as the one Worm(?) recently bought.

This is currently in the car,

Stainless steel, heavy, engraved shift pattern on top.

 oh yeah. I forgot...the turtle. ;)

I was looking old school , like ones that would have been used in a 69 Camaro or maybe something from Hurst, speed shifter...but didn't want it to look like it didn't go with the Z...not explaining myself well.

I know exactly what you're talking about. Look at TWM Perfomance. They have the "ball" type knobs. You can get it in white, black, and raw metal...

I'm interested in Gale's knob, but he's got to be willing to give it up for free :yum:

How many days until Fathers Day? Driving with the stock shifter knob is killing me. I can't get over how notchy shifts feel with the stocker. Shifting was smooth as butter with my old weighted knob.

If it was up to me, you would be getting an early Fathers Day gift.

Peaked out at 12.1 psi tonight. I'm thinking of starting a pool for when the motor will pop.

Who wants in?

LMBmikeZ 06-14-2013 10:54 PM

ok.......

once you surpass 18 POP!

I figured a date, like last week of August or second week of July . I'll need to do some thinking about this :rofl2:

Mr&Mrs 06-15-2013 02:32 AM

I think more like 14-15 psi, depends on cylinder pressure. I would say that's enough to go boom though.

Mr&Mrs 06-15-2013 02:35 AM

Oh I misread your post but 12.1 could last for ever depending on driving habits. I like the crank the boost till it pops way better :driving:

That's just it, I'm not cranking up my boost, I have plenty of power as it sits  My gauges and boost controller have a peak hold function, I always check after my drive. 12.1psi is the highest I've seen. I thought the boost controller was set up for 11.5, so it's not overshooting too far off really..

SPOHN 06-15-2013 07:07 AM

Boost controllers work great and are life savers. But are not flawless ever time you choose to go full boost/ full throttle. You'll be fine.

I know... I'm just looking for a reason to start talking to someone about building my motor. ;)

Dzel 06-15-2013 07:25 AM

So tomorrow's fathers Day.... and I don't think my wife bought anything for the Z I was really hoping I got my short throw shifter
