I need a proper shop as well. My car barely fits in the garage with the doors open.

Four post is nice but you have to upgrade for the two scissor jacks so you can also work with the wheels off. Cost starts to add up

I was looking at a scissor. Best with the limited space I have, smallest footprint

That's sweet. Unfortunately that wouldn't work for me as the frame rail is not the lowest point on the car.

BendPak RJ-45 4,500 Lb. Capacity, Sliding Bridge Jack | JMCAutomotiveEquipment.com

This is what I was referring to. I guess the technical term is bridge jack. You would need one of these to allow you to pull the tires while on the lift.

My only requirement for our next house is to have a really big shed in the back yard with a lift where I can work on cars separate from the garage. I'll be interested to see what you end up with

Been there, doing that .. SWMBO wants a new house, so designed a 330 sq.m dwelling and 10m by 24m shed !!!

2-post, 4-tonne hoist and low-rise scissor lift plus bench-space, racking, space to park trailer and tow car ... well worth doing ......................

So... Yesterday I email my painter to see if I could pick up my harness bar, and some other parts, today. He told me last week they would be done today... He just emailed me back this morning saying someone put the colour chip back in the book and he needs my strut bar back so he can take another picture for colour matching. I installed the strut bar a 2 weeks ago... FFS

Ugh... Car modding is definitely a love/hate relationship. Nothing ever seems to go right. I just installed my rear sway bar and end links last night and there were no problems, everything went smoothly. I couldn't believe it lol, everything has been such a PITA lately I was expecting something to break.
