Cage builder and I are working out details.. Gotta have a pow-wow in the next couple weeks and nail down a design and price.
Exciting stuff! One goal is to have a good, accurate schematic by the time we're done. That way, I can make it available to other people in the Z community that want to go caged so that it can at least be a starting point for their own projects. |
going full cage, or just back half?
|
Full cage, no dash bar though, going to weld to the factory bar (and weld the bar into the car of course)
Most cost effective than re-doing all the bracketry to mount the dash onto a new dash bar. |

New tow vehicle... aka Wife's DD. haha!
Looking at wheels and some custom paint for all that silver and bling. Also gotta do oil and tranny coolers, plus upgrade the radiator. Intake and Exhaust most likely as well. http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1358959855 |
^Oh yea. That oughta do it! Congrats

Very nice! I know I went for the Cayenne in the end, but the new Explorer was a contender on my short list. Love the new lines.

Times when you feel stupid...
Got my quick release in yesterday, took it and the wheel out to the car, ready to get it on and only THEN did I realize I needed a hub to put the QR on as well. Really unimpressed with NRG's documentation (or utter lack thereof). I guess they just assume that their customers have done this before and know what's needed and how it all goes together... I had to look at other people's installs on the interwebs to see how they go together. Now I wait for the hub to be delivered..hopefully by the weekend lol. |
^ lol. Yea that confused me back in the day. Not sure why it's just not part of a kit. But there's a lot of people that mix and match.

Hub came in. Still no instructions. Some random wires and a harness connector of some sort in the box.
I don't understand how they don't provide ANY documentation on how everything is supposed to go together. It's amazing! Guess I'll have to just figure out how to rig the horn up so it'll pass inspection. |
yeah, I think the instructions for my bell-works hub were in japanese. I just left the electronics part off since I don't need a horn or inspection.

I can just put a horn button on the dash, it doesn't have to be on the wheel, so if I can't make it work to my satisfaction, that's what I'll do. |
