The rest of the parts packaged very well too. The hood came in a separate box with bubble wrap as well.

nice wheee!!! i bet you cant wait to have those parts on :)

wheee! 12-16-2013 05:23 PM

Test fit the JPR hood today. Not too bad but needs a little massaging of the hinges still. Hood is a little high at the back and needs a little straightening too. Had to drill holes for the windshield washer sprayers and lines as well as the hood latches. The side vents had rain guards on the inside so I took them off to improve cooling and also to remove the mesh for painting.

Had to drill the hole for the plastic collar. Not a big deal. Also had to drill a hole for the rubber bumper stops. That was a little harder

I still have to replace the rubber gasket from the original hood to the FRP hood. On another note, the stock hood is SO LIGHT it's crazy! The FRP hood is light but the aluminum is crazy light.... :icon14:

The funny thing is, the colour scheme will be Black Rose and Satin Black, almost the colour it is now... :icon17:

Your car looks incredible now Jason! Maybe one day I will get a chance to see it when I pass through Onterrible again.

You must be mistaken Ed, the promised land is west of Alberta, not east.... :stirthepot:

Decided to play with the front bumper a little today.

The fit is extremely good except for the passenger side headlight has a small gap. Shouldn't be hard to fix.

Quick test fit of the rear bumper and I am impressed! For all the naysayers about duraflex, this kit is very close to spot on! Can't wait to get it to the body shop!

Best of all the afterburners are going to look sweet! I think I will re-powder coat the outside a gloss or satin black... Or maybe gunmetal.

Just went through all 16 pages. Awesome build thread, beautiful car!

I'm just wondering, are 305's the largest you can fit under the 370 rear? And it looks like they fit the stock wheels perfectly.

Thank you!

The 305's maintain the stock diameter as close as possible and also give the same offsets when you combine them with the 275's up front. 30mm stagger. I know another member had some insane tires on 12" rims. Not positive but I think the were 345's...
There is a ton of room in the rear wheel well.

The 305's are as far as I would go on the stock sport rim. I tracked it with this setup and they were very solid. I would prefer 11" rims though. Next year....

itBurns 12-26-2013 09:03 PM

Thanks a lot for the info!
Keep up the good work on the car.

edconline 12-26-2013 09:35 PM

I have a set of pretty cool open ended valve caps you can have..

Mitco39 12-27-2013 09:14 AM

Did you have to drill them out Ed? lol

Wonka2581 12-27-2013 10:25 PM

Any updates on body kit install??

6MT 12-27-2013 10:26 PM

Yeah...how 'bout it Mark?

blackcherry20 12-28-2013 07:30 AM

BTW. What is plan on paint on all the body parts? Excited to see it all finished... :)

zefaulter 12-28-2013 11:01 AM

I keep seeing your car around the forum and I just started following it. Great build so far man... I'm really curious how the duraflex kit turns out. I may end up with their front bumper. Please post more photos when you get the chance :)

wheee! 12-28-2013 01:00 PM

Thanks! I plan on creating a duraflex build thread eventually. I know there are a lot if haters but so far I see no reason to complain. Quality and fit have been very good so far. You will always need some expert bodywork on any kit, but I don't think I'll need much.

Maybe a DIY on how to fit body kits? That'd be super!
The fitment may not be the only issue, I've heard if you get hit lightly, it'll crack... Where did you get it if you don't mind me asking?
