I was thinking you were making a custom license plate bracket like the stillen one :ugh2: |
|
O wait! Is it a custom short shifter/replacement shaft for the stick shift?

wheee!'s Journal - RoZy
lol
The D link end is from a cheap eBay tow hook that didn't fit our cars and I took a 1" billet aluminum rod and turned it down to the right size to clear my amuse front bumper. The threading was a bit of an issue as I didn't have the exact die set for the 1" threads. Had to fiddle around a bit. It's a show piece as I don't think it would withstand towing the vehicle. I just didn't want dissimilar metals causing an issue if I left it in for a season. The stock tow hook is steel. Sent from Canadia |
Can I weld it to my intercooler? lol.
That looks beautiful Mark! I love it. |
Actually, you probably could have Sasha weld a small threaded adapter to the front of the intercooler to thread a tow hook onto. Have to ask Sasha how structurally sound it would be. Then after that, fabbing up a billet tow hook is simple. Just add an eBay end ring and voila...!
|
nice tow hook brother!!! :D
|
Minor progress but important non the less! Bodyshop got the hood to sit flush. Had to mod the hinges a little but it looks good now!

Looks great for minor progress

Ugh. The winter wheels make me cringe... Going to have to sell them to an Infiniti driver this year.
|
Lol I have similar feelings toward my winter wheels. I got 36m spacers for the back so they don't look as bad anymore
|
Wait, aren't those your summer wheels Mark?
:stirthepot: |
Its gonna look good mark. Hopefully it moves along well. Ive seen sweepers out and I think next week you will see them out in full force.

I bought the car for my wife in January in Canada.... That idea lasted two weeks and we never winter drove the car again. Hence the nice wheels.
|
How are you liking that hood? I am going to get that one for sure I think.
Going to change the rear bumper and wing though, seems like everyone and their dog has that one lol |
It's because it looks great
|
No disagreement there. Just want something unique I think. Looking for a newer kit

As for the rear, each to their own. There are a lot of nice rear bumpers to choose from, but the amuse kit is still my fav combo. Mine is the only amuse rear and Seibon NS spoiler combo I know of too.... |
looks great so far Mark! Can't wait to see the end result!
|
I've plasti-dipped the mesh inserts so they should look nice in the hood too...
|
Just curious about your tyre setup.
Do they rub at all with the swift springs? I currently have the eibach springs installed and thinking of going 265/35 fronts and 305/30 rear setup. Just wanted to confirm that they don't rub. I'm also running 20MM on all fours. |
