![]() The hole I am talking about is circled in the picture ... cut a length of that steel same length as tank (Lowes .. $3.00) ... bolt it it to that hole. There is a dimple back there so the steel deal will be away from the hole enough to clamp the tank to it. Attach hoses and done. Plenty of room right there for one. Crane Cams I think makes a small one, but it is slightly bigger than this Autocraft deal. I don't have mine installed yet as you can see, but I think it will fit just fine. EDIT: I should point out those SS lines don't come with it, I had those left over from my catch cans. They send you a hose, but it isn't long enough to make it to either connection on our car to be worth anything.

Nope. I went out to find a spot to try and re-create ice mode safely (i.e. an empty parking lot) and I couldn't re-create it. So the canister is still disconnected until I can find a larger parking lot to where I can get enough speed to re-create track-like driving and hopefully be able to trigger ice mode. Then I can hook up the canister and re-test to see if it works.

Strange, seems newer cars dont get ice mod, but I do have the ABS grabbing my calipers when pulling a lot of G's..
I will remove disconnect the yaw sensor too. My rear camber arm failed at the back of Phil's hill so my car is down at the moment... |

If you haven't hit it yet, then I would highly recommend getting the vacuum canister so you better your chances of never hitting it.

So I FINALLY got off my *** and tested the vacuum canister back to back today. Made sure I found a spot where I could safely replicate track driving as much as I could then proceeded to get my car to hit ice mode without the vacuum canister hooked up. Hooked up the vacuum canister, drove around a bit and re-created my first test. I am bummed to report that the vacuum canister had ZERO effect on my ice mode. It was still just as easy to trigger as it was without the canister hooked up. I think my ABS pump is either too far gone or perhaps its not as much of a fix as we all hoped. I really thought it would at least help my situation and make it harder to trigger, but that was not the case. Back to square one. Anyone have any thoughts/theories?

Interesting as it completely cured my car but I'm just getting rid of abs altogether. Pulling all abs systems and now running proportioning valve

Mike,
I don't know if I buy into your theory of the pumping wearing out either. I used to get ice mode all the time with my aggressive brake pads. I have a few more track days on the car as you, but i also did a lot of autox with ice mode too. I made the switch to a softer compound and the problem was mostly gone. Of course now i am dealing with a soft pedal as I am overheating the pads... More i think about it, more I hate the car |
