Had PPE Long Tube Headers, Fidanza Flywheel, and a SS Clutch Line installed along with Motul Fluid... The car is f'n awesome and has never been better... Super satisfied with all of them.

The car revs much quicker, sounds much BETTER and at the same time it is quieter some how, now what I was expecting. And just the clutch line has made the clutch feel 100x better than before.

All the work was done my performance motorsports.

We have a baseline but due to them being swamped the dyno was occupied and my
"after" retune and dyno is scheduled for tuesday...

Now I need to settle on some wheels and Drag Radials and my car will be ready to take the #3 spot on tranceformers list the next trip out.

Flywheel has some chatter at initial acceleration if you are in 2nd at a stop light or whatever but nothing that will bother me in the slightest. The pro's defiantly outweigh the cons. I love everything that I just had done.

that's a nice set of parts you've added, chuck! I'm jealous....

But I bet ya can't beat my ET on street tires! :p

chuckd05 05-21-2011 01:15 AM

LOL I'm pretty sure I would the next time i go, when I just went my tune was running pig rich... like ridiculously rich... fixing that alone should be enough haha

I'll go one more time just for you on street tires... mmm kay ?

tranceformer 05-21-2011 01:32 AM

Do it.

chuckd05 05-21-2011 01:45 AM

I accept the challenge... haha

I can only imagine how nice your car must run now, great selection of parts. What part about the new clutch line do you like the most? Clutch feel and modulation is one thing I am not wild about with this car. You should shoot some video of the Z!

Got the car dynoed today after the LTH and Flywheel and polishing up the UpRev Tune and she picked up 20whp and 8 tq

these headers didnt do much for mid range but provided steady gains from 4700 and up...

Id say they are well worth it, considering I went from test pipes to them... BUT my car was very rich... but he did say it was still 14 Hp or so more before he started tweaking the tune

How much for the VLSD upgrade and who did it, dealer or tuner shop?

chuckd05 05-25-2011 12:33 PM

learned a lesson today.... dont use car washes...

I have been going to the same car wash for years... I like them and enjoy letting them washing the Z sometimes to save me time and effort. But I ALWAYS drive the Z up onto the racks. Especially since I got my wheels on that have aggressive offsets, but I know just how to get on the track with plenty of space.. today some guy refused to let me drive it up, and bashes my front left wheel right into the track.. curbing it 1/3 of the way around... than says no no it wasnt me , LMAO... I didnt let him touch the car got the manager and it was clearly wedged against the track , the manager is covering the repair which I am getting done tomorrow. I can not stand to look at it for more than a day...

needless to say, thats the last auto car wash that my car will see ... oh well.. more work for me...
