The 1 felt a bit more nimble but I had m3 Control arms suspension work and much better tires so it's hard to compare. But the 335 is much newer and feels it. Way smoother and a bit more stable at higher speeds even on cruddy re50a run flats. The 335s package is just a lot better though. It's loaded and more classy interior.
Modding will start very soon. Most likely with coilovers first to close front wheel gap. Kw v1 most likely. Should be fine for street. The motor mods I can transfer from the 135 and I'll have 425/450tq or so with just a few mods. It's a friendly car to mod. Cobb is a great tune but I'm a jb guy. Terry the owner takes great care of his customers and I am now a loyal patron. Cobb with atr now out is a great route too but with meth that I use jb4 still has the upper hand in power/control and the can control like dash gauge hijacking is the icing On the cake. I'll update with some good pics. These were all Iphone shots! Thanks for kind words... Still miss the Z a ton though! I just needed a pretty car that's reliable with great DD power and these cars fit that bill perfect. |
Ohhhh and the biggest change. This ones auto. First AT car I've owned in 10+ years lol
Digging it tho. Relaxing drive and on this platform they are significantly quicker in most aspects with the AT so that's a bonus. |
Automatic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wtf chuck lol

hahahaha
wanted to relax, got a new job that I need to travel to, getting married and my fiance wanted to be able to drive this one... these typicaly run as much as .5-.7 quicker in the 1/4 when modded... My 120mph trap in my 135 at 12.0 woulda been an 11.4-5 in auto... its a nice tranny with paddles just like our Zs and it has been proven to take a TON of abuse with hardly any known failures.. BUT I think im going to be buying my brothers 03 350z with just under 100k as soon as he wants to get a new car, hes been offered very low amounts and if he cant get anymore I will just buy it at his trade in offer and build that up as a toy with a TwinTurbo kit... not a definite but certainly a good possibility, and that will satisfy my stickless car issue, lol... But so far 10 days in , I dont regret it a bit... its a joy to drive and the DS mode in paddle mode is very impressive. |
Older Z is always a great toy at its price and price for aftermarket parts, and maintenance was never crazy!

RIP z! looked great though!
