You want my wheels eh. You'd have to get the front right fixed because its curbed.
If you make me a solid offer for wheels AND tires as is I would consider parting with them. Also, I've been kinda quiet these past few days with a sheared bolt in my clutch. It has been fixed and I can now actually get back to testing out the new brakes. I drove on them already and have some teaser shots for you tonight. First impression though is that the whole braking system feels solid now. Bite is pretty predictable and the pedal just feels awesome. Feels like I can modulate it with more confidence now. The rotors look AWESOME on the car too. I'm trying to see if I can grab one of the teasers from my Vossen photoshoot. By the way, the Stillen Metal matrix pads are excellent street pads. Low dust, no noise and good cold and hot bite. They aren't touchy, they are more gradual, but then when you get on them a little more you can tell they are definitely better than the stock pads. They are also cheaper and rotor friendly, so no brainer for me. I recommend them for someone replacing stock pads...they are similar to Hawk HPS pads for a lot less. |

Jav, I have a feeling the new wheels will be very very well received by the 370Z community.

It would be pretty tits if it was a Z hook instead of J, lol looks good man
|
Let me know what software inserts a watermark on my pictures too
Working on a set of Rentless Autosports rear rotors today or tomorrow. Look for pictures and write up in the near future. |
I just got a tip from a helpful informant from Stillen letting me know that VSO Image Resizer does what we need. Thanks Josh.

There's still a good 70-75% life left on these tires. I haven't even gotten to track them yet.
Yeah, that sounds way more reasonable. Wheels are coming off the car in about a month or so, lets talk then. I hate to get rid of them, but car is almost ready to start getting on track more often so... |
Yeah a month away works for me too actually. I will set the money aside until that time.
you want my 18"s for the track? lol |

The fronts are 25lbs definitely and the rears are about 27lbs.
|
Yeah, I don't think I'll be using your 18's. I think I'm going to get some RPF1s from a vendor here..just not sure who yet.
Awesome Vossen for daily and show and then the RPF1's for the track. Still trying to pick a tire...thinking 888's or shaved RA1's. Wonder what happened to our sneak peak, gonna see if I can find out. |
Ladies and Gentlemen...without further ado.

a month? really? actually a month and a half?
boooooooo! the teaser looks awesome! |

My style too. Yeah I know Josh, its so far away! Now that I have no spacers installed it pains me to look at the car with the stock wheels all sunk in...boooo.
|
Looks great, to me they look like a BBS offering but with much more concavity
|
I'm not one to buy wheels for looks but if I were I'd be interested... these flow really well with the lines of the car... look forward to more pics!

chris, mind posting a pic somewhere of the damage so we can learn from that? would like more discussion of why you think it failed... thanks for the heads-up
|
Found out later when changing wheels (was using stock at the time). I will post a pic up somewhere for discussion.

At least the wheel didn't fly off. I was getting worried about the spacers and being at Road America in 3 weeks. |
Hmmm.. Can't wait for the pics!
RCZ - How is your clutch holding up? |
Post pics of the failed H&R spacer. This was the 15mm or 20mm? I had heard that tracking with wheel spacers could have some issues. Is there any truth to this or was someone blowing hot air up my tires?
|
I never got a chance to track with the spacer on. I've spent too long getting the car ready to handle the abuse.
Clutch is fine. Every now and then I get a little play at the top of the pedal and the engagement gets very close to the floor. Then I drive around for 10 minutes and its fixed for another few days. Its on and off, but nothing major. Its not the clutch's fault though, I have a strong feeling that its the fluid system and not the clutch itself. I've interested in seeing the carnage of the wheel spacers too. |
Thx RCZ.
On another note, I could have sworn HP Logic was a vendor on the forum. Where did they go? Or am I looking over them.... |
