Want to have stock pads for everyday driving. My pads are dead and need to be replaced and I'm also looking to upgrade my braking soon but didnt want to have to run race pads everyday. I want to have both and there's no point in buying them new when I have all you guys who already upgraded with pads sitting around. $131 new for all 4.

If I can't find a set soon I'll get HPS or something like that for the street and carbotechs for the track.

Got a trackday coming on August 10th.

Stillen just so happens to have a sale right now where if you get rotors, pads come free.

My rotors are warped and the dealer won't warranty them because I have 14k miles on them so looks like I'll be doing business with Stillen again soon...for the 70th millionth time.

Also picking up some Carbotechs for the track :)

How are the Stillen pads? I'm assuming Goodrich lines and AP fluid?

I was told to expect something similar to a Hawk HPS pad. So they should be better than stock. No noise, very little dusting. Good price too.

Got hold of a laser heat gun that goes to 550F

Gonna make a chart and measure different points within the engine bay and record results of different heat management mods. Once its done I'll let everyone know, but I'm not posting it anywhere public....too many shitheads on this board who don't deserve any useful info.

Borrowed the gun from a friend. Its a professional grade one and really fun to play around with. I was walking around pointing it at everything earlier..my cookie hit 320 degrees before I pulled it out of the oven!

Jon, I think that's literally a heat producing gun haha, kinda not what I had in mind.

is it a fluke one. they are the norm but can give faulse reading on some surfaces. it is what we use on the rig to test motor winding temps and when we heat bearing to fit them on shafts. they are a nice piece of kit.
