The HKS are good coilovers. Definitely a good choice. But if you are saying you are kind of a sissy, those are not the coilovers for you since they come with relatively high spring rates. The only coilovers I would recommend for someone who likes to keep a comfortable ride are the KW V3's. I'm sorry if I keep sounding like a fanboy, but these things have more than proven their worth to me.
Driveshaft rattle? Are you talking about clutch shudder on engagement? Nah, it shouldnt be that bad. Lightening? Sure, get rid of as much unsprung weight as you can (weight not supported by the suspension. e.g. Wheels and brake rotors). Then take as much weight as you can from the front of the car, preferably things that are higher up. Then take weight off the rear. The car has a natural front heavy bias, which you want to try and lessen if possible...however its much easier to quickly remove weight from the rear. I'd give you more info, but you don't own the car yet and you seem to not be too sure of what you want. You say you are a sissy and want comfort, but you want coilovers and a lighter car? Those two things don't come without a cost that is immediately deducted from the comfort column. I want to help, but you should probably have the car first before you worry about these things.. |

Keep givin it to em straight, RCZ!
![]() Agree on weight comments... goal is to shift weight, not just lighten... get more weight towards the rear with battery relos etc... I pick up about 0.05 g's in left hand turns by putting a passenger in my car! ![]() 370zforever... what RCZ wanted to tell you but didn't because he's far too polite, is that you need to study the board a bit more... go to the technical section and sort the posts in descending order by views/posts... then read the ones with the highest volume... all your questions will be answered! have fun RCZ, flywheel yet ? |

All is good... I definitely have been having a fuel starvation issue... we are discussing it over in my journal, think we have a quick fix
Flywheel is a great add - you'll be happy once you do it |

You're welcome.
I have a little update for everyone now that the car is finally dialed in. Went to get an alignment to find out that almost every setting I had before was off. I guess its not OK to go drifting in the rain if you want to keep your alignment intact. I went with this setup: Front: -2.2 Camber 5.6 Caster (locked by the SPL camber arms) .02 Toe Rear -2 Camber .06 Toe Result is a car that turns in smoothly and has loads of mechanical grip in corners. The straight line acceleration has suffered a bit with the rear camber, but its not an issue unless you are being silly. It is definitely a little more tail happy than it was before, but I like that, a lot. Overall its a smooth setup, hopefully I will be going on track again soon to test it out. I think the package will be complete with some Stillen Swaybars and a couple ticks stiffer on the suspension. I am still getting a tiny bit of body roll, but that's whats keeping the car comfortable on daily driving so I can deal with it for now. |

tight setup! curious to see if it is too twitchy at the track... i'm running a longer caster angle and more neutral toe settings right now and digging the stability in high speed turns

I'd pick the OS Giken over the Quaife, but I've been hearing good reviews on the Carbonetics. |
