wow the forum is back!
guess i'll post a large update here! To battle the heat issue, i got a CZP oil cooler kit, which contains a 34 row Setrab oil cooler, Mocal thermostatic sandwich plate, and FireFlex protective sleeving lines! No more babying it at the track! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Success! ![]() After the install, the oil def cooled a lot more. Almost too much for my liking actually. I’d like the oil to get up to operating temp and optimal temp to burn off some contaminants and water. So I made an aluminum block off plate, wrapped it in carbon fiber so it won’t stand out, and attached it with high heat Velcro. I made the block off plate in two pieces so I have the option to cover the whole cooler or just partially. And this way I don’t have to remove the bumper to install and remove the block off plate! With the cooler fully covered, ambient temp in the 60’s F, I can get up to operating temp. Most likely I’ll be keeping the block off plate on and remove it when I track. I will do more testing in the summer time when it’s hot, maybe just have it partially cover then. More testing will come later! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I also went to Japan and picked up a few goodies! The car came with a fake Nismo oil cap so got a real Nismo one to replace it, as well as the 40th anniversary old Nismo logo coolant cap! They were all out of the old logo for the oil cap unfortunately old vs new ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Also replaced my floor mats. Really liked these checkered ones but I was slipping on them because of how worn they were. Got a great deal on these brand new Nismo mats! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Did a random photoshoot after the oil cooler install ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Did another track day! This time it was at Streets of Willow. Definitely pushed the car a lot harder than my first time and definitely was still super slow but learning the car more and more! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() that's all for now! sorry for the giant spam, hopefully the forum stays up!

Tried to restore some of my black trim pieces. It’s a 17 year old car so some of these pieces are too far gone. But still much better compared to before!
