Thinking around a 30x40x14 (+ or -) depending on where the price really sky-Rockets;
may be more like a 24x32

I wish I would have gone 30' deep. That extra space would have been nice for counter space or cabinets.

Picked up a Defi boost gauge from the 4sale section. Ive been trying to figure out which gauges I want to run and this was cheap enough to test out.

Check out Speed Hut gauges. I was surprised by them.

I have their nitrous pressure gauge installed, it has worked fine for me. Nicely built.

jchammond 06-13-2018 07:59 PM

I can't hardly see that gauge; looks really dark!

Looks pretty decent lit up. The amber color is really close to factory, which I like.

Maximum 2# of Boost?

madwi 06-13-2018 08:10 PM

Yeah, dont want to stress the factory motor. ;)

this one gives a bit more.

I know we are joking around but the defi gauge I bought reads in kPa.

Man that's looking great! Are you doing it yourself, or paying to have the kit installed?

I am going to give it a whirl.

Awesome! When do you plan to start?

madwi 06-14-2018 09:52 AM

I think towards the end of summer and the driving season. I really want to tear into it right now but I need to get the clutch installed and broken in a bit.

madwi 06-14-2018 11:04 AM

Looking through all the BP build threads makes me think this will go on sooner rather than later. :icon17:

Going to binge watch Blacklist while wrapping some of the pipes in the DEI heat wrap.

JLarson 06-14-2018 11:40 AM

Let me know when you're going to really start, maybe I'll come lend a hand?

madwi 06-14-2018 11:48 AM

Sounds good to me. I gotta get with Phunk about a top hat and new fuel pump.

madwi 06-15-2018 01:26 PM

This wrap is more of a pain than I was expecting. Gonna have to redo the piece to make the wrap tighter and better wire ties. Thanks goes to Jwick for helping describe the safety wire wrapping technique.

Need a third hand to hold the wire in place while clamping down on it, but overall not too bad. Thanks for the guidance, I appreciate it.

Any time!

A worm drive clamp helps when missing a third hand.

madwi 06-20-2018 06:49 AM

Picked up some heatshielding for wires and hoses that may be near the hot pipes.

That’s exactly what I’m running. Works great. If it’s something already on the car you’ll need to cut the threading to open it up and then wrap/zip tie it in place. When using it for the pneumatic lines you can just run it thru before you route it and attach it.

madwi 07-26-2018 12:33 PM

Some spl bushings were found on the porch

Sadly, I will be working. I appreciate the offer though, Grattan is a lot of fun. Used to live across the street on Wabasis lake during the summers.

Intercooler being test fitted. We had to drill out the holes on the mounts on the intercooler as the holes were only 1/4" dia. and 20mm off from the mounting points. Easy to do as it is aluminum.

Mounted up you can see their holes and the holes that we drilled to be able to use their brackets. Fitted the Fast Intentions tow bar over the intercooler.

While we were at it, the rear diff bushing was replaced with a SPL solid bushing. This was a pain in the azz.

Two large sockets, some threaded rod, curse words and 3 voodoo rituals later, it came out and no sawzall needed.

First day that JC was here, we finished up the 4 post lift install. Bendpak HD-9.
On the highest position, I have a couple inches clearance to the joists and enough room to get off the locks and lower the car.
