This mod you will totally enjoy. It makes a huge difference.

Plans are JcHammond is swinging by next week to help me with the diff install. We plan on getting some more logs done and upping the boost. Currently I am @ 8 pounds and hope to be 10-12. I dont want to go more than 12 on 93 pump gas. The ride will be anti-climatic for JC after he just got having a ride in Spoolers whip. :icon17:

JC took a few vacation days and drove up here. Naturally this means I had to put him to work  Took a day or two to bum around a bit and then dug into the car.
Started with dropping the diff out of the car and ripped it open.

I didnt really want to buy a press for the bearing so preheated the oven and baked the bearings @ 225F for a while. Took them out to the garage and they only took a few bumps to get them seated.

After the wavetrac was installed we tossed it on the scale.

I wasnt planning on us looking installing the coilovers or anything but I took a wheel off and next thing you know, theres a pile of parts on the floor. :icon17:
Fortune 500 coilovers, SPL FUCAs and endlinks tossed on.

I need to raise the front end, by a lot! Fujimura bumper would be ripped off trying to get off the lift as it sits now.

Tucking the 325s in the rear looks much better than having them stick out past the fender well.

I've never been in a boosted VQ Z. I'd like to catch a ride along. I'd prefer not to drive. I've got a break it buy it rule and my pocketbook wants nothing to do with that right now.

It’s an eye opening experience. I’ve been in some fast cars but nothing like a Boosted VQ.

gbrettin 01-24-2020 02:16 PM

What makes it different you think? I've been in 7sec cars that pull the blood out of my face. However, that's a common thing I have heard about boosted Z.

Personally, I think it's the drag coefficient (.29).
