that 7 am run is no joke.

I swear its linked to the bermuda triangle; you blink and the guys up front disappear.

It's funny because I'm usually arguing to be up front in the MAZOC cruises. Just don't want to slow people down while I'm getting familiar with the Dragon, but I should be ok after a few runs.

You're going?

What's killing me is I still don't have the GTG from my boss that I'll be back in time for ZDayZ. Looks like it will be another last minute ZDayZ prep. :shakes head:

Crux 03-04-2015 10:04 AM

Mike is insane :icon17:

I began my Zdayz 2015 prep the day after zdayz 2014 ended. Now all thats left are driver mods. I'm trying to get as much track time as I can before going to Zdayz.

m4a1mustang 03-04-2015 10:26 AM

I just need to flush my brake fluid and I'm good to go. I am still on the same tires as last year, which is a bummer, but I'm selling the car this year so there's no point in replacing them. I can easily take them all the way up to the limit. Too easily.

Same here but I'll be doing all my fluids. Good thing I have a mechanic who specializes in Zs for a friend. Also got to install my RaceLogic Traction control unit, new rear tires and maybe a new CBE. http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...es/2thumbs.gif

i'm debating on doing my brakes this year for zdayz.

still on my oem pads/fluid lol

I would definitely do the brakes. You might be fine on the stock pads depending on the speed, but given the age of your car you should at least change the fluid.

I mean I have a new set of pads and rbf600 sitting on my shelf that I bought but never used. checked last year and my pads were still at 75% on the fronts.

just seems like such a pain to do a full fluid change when I haven't had an issue yet with it. but then I weigh the opposite thinking what if because it's been another year and 10-15k miles if it's gonna be "that" time it'll go.

Something a little better suited to daily driving. I want some more space and comfort features. Mustang, BMW, etc.

just stay away from the blue. I like it too much to have to see someone driving it and not having it lol :bowrofl:

At the end of the day the M4 is ridiculously expensive, so I wrote it off. Plus, I already have a BMW like that, excluding the engine and suspension. I only have about $50k I'm willing to work with... the cheaper the better. It's just going to be a fun DD, so I don't really need something that will set the world on fire.

I know you hate them, but the new Mustangs offer a lot of value for very little money.

I like it! If you can look at it without bias it's a really good car.

The Q60... not my cup of tea. To be honest, I probably won't be giving any more of my money to Nissan. I've been going back and forth between the Mustang and M235i. They drive how I like, offer the features I want, look nice (subjective) and offer quite a lot of value.

No matter what I do it's not like you'll stop loving me. :icon18:

The problem with the BMW is I pretty much already have the exact car. Same engine, mostly the same interior, same suspension... It'd be kind of boring after a while I think. Plus it's ~$51k OTD. The Mustang is only $40k OTD... with more features and performance.

I'd rather buy it then spend the remaining $10k on a Jaeger LeCoultre MUT Moon 39. ;)

I like the new Mustang a lot, but I'm not yet sold on the rear end. When I looked closer/longer at it at the Chicago auto show. It has a very pointy rear end from certain angles and made the car look a bit weird. Stang would be cheaper though than M235i probably.

Side note, for the Mustang I wish they could blend 2015 interior with 2013 exterior.

I like it, but it's probably going to be a bit extreme for a DD. Not to mention it will be pushing $60k with options. I'm not looking to spend that much money on a commuting tool that I drive 2-3 times a week. :icon17:

60k isn't bad considering I just did a build on the ford website and mine would be 46k. too much money for a mustang.

waiting for the next Z :tiphat:

Ford MSRP and the actual price is one thing. My GT build has every option but the adaptive cruise and automatic and I can get it for just over $40k with X-Plan. I could probably do a little better if I negotiate myself.

personally I would just wait a bit and hit the auction :tiphat:

m4a1mustang 03-04-2015 11:52 AM

I don't even know why I own a car for myself right now, to be honest. I have driven my Z for maybe 400 miles this year.

Cristobal09 03-04-2015 11:54 AM

I dont know why I own two cars considering I work from home. Ive put maybe 200 miles on my Ram and 200 on my Chally.

When I go anywhere I take the BMW. My wife and I commute together 99% of the time. It's only a 10 mile drive to work. I walk to the grocery store. But I have two cars and I'm looking to replace the one I don't drive with another one that I won't drive much. Low mileage life.

It's great, isn't it? :rofl2:

Its the best. Save a ton on gas. But working from home and putting next to no miles on the cars is great. Thats why I can trade in my cars so often and not take a bath on negative equity with how low mileage they are LOL.

I usually just put enough down to stay above water, but with rates so low you can pretty much finance the whole thing and cut a check for the negative equity if you ever want to sell it.

Kathy wanted a BMW but was focused on the mileage so we got a 228ix. It is plenty quick for her and I even enjoy driving it. I tried to talk her into the 235 or the M235, but she didn't need that much engine. Good luck with whatever you get.

The N20 is awesome.

The N55 gets great mileage, too, though. I averaged 34 mpg on my recent trip to NYC, which included a lot of city driving. I can do ~38 mpg on the highway if the conditions are right (relatively flat roads and sub 75mph cruise.)

BTW, what are you going to be driving at ZDayZ?

Luckily I don't have much to do this year. Diff fluid, engine oil, air filter. That's it.

Maybe new summer tires, but don't NEED them... just want them haha
