NC Temp ZDayZ Fishing Licenses....

1 Attachment(s)
So for those who might be considering trying to remove some bass from Fontana Lake this year, I finally got around to ordering my NC Non-Resident 10 Day fishing license.

- BLUF: $20 for the license ($18 + $2 processing)

- Period of License: I got mine for 10-19 May 2015 (assumes we MIGHT fish as early as Sunday after we arrive.....but probably not....)

- I don't think you HAVE to purchase these online - I suspect you can purchase them at the Fontana Marina.

MAZOC ZDayZ Fishing 2015....."here fishy, fishy, fishy......"

Registered!

Tire Rack has an "estimated availability" of 4/28 on my tires. I placed the order and crossed my fingers.

I have a brand new set of Gunmetal RPF1's in their boxes, waiting on tires...

Anyone else on the room waiting list for Fontana? Been calling every day for a week to see if there were any cancellations and was told there is a pretty long waiting list. We did get a room in Robbinsville, but would rather stay at Fontana. I knew it was a bad idea when we cancelled our rooms two years ago that it would be difficult to get back to the "Mothership". Oh well, at least we are going this year...

MAZOC ZDayZ 2015 Planning Event

1 Attachment(s)
All,

For those of you who are interested - we'll be hosting (food & drinks provided, just bring your body) a MAZOC pre-ZDayZ 2015 planning event at our humble abode on Saturday, 2 May 2015 after the normal MAZOC gathering in Fairfax, VA.

Who: Whom ever wants to swing by.

What: (See note above)

When: ~11:30'ish, Saturday, 2 May 2015

Where: The FitzGerald's, 5082 Coleridge Dr., Fairfax, VA 22032

Why: Cause we've not done this in a while and it makes us "mature folks" feel like we've contributed and executed due diligence for the upcoming ZDayZ 2015 event.

Discussion: Even if you aren't going down for ZDayZ, feel free to swing by the house for a visit. If the weather is good, we'll be out on the patio in the back, if it isn't we'll be somewhere in the house.......

This would be the time to bring crap you can't fit into your Z by the house so I can figure out how to get it into the truck and down to Fontana Village.

Steve & Deb

Changed the oil, transmission fluid, diff fluid, and bled the brakes. Just one local event before ZdayZ.

Oh, and I have tracking numbers for my tires! Tire rack got them early and shipped them quickly.:excited:

It seems FL is well represented this year.

To date FL is ahead of GA by one. 76 vs 75 registrant.:tiphat:

After wading through rain and VA Tech graduation weekend traffic, I made it home safely. Had a great ZDAYZ! Good to see friends again.

b1adesofcha0s 05-17-2015 10:22 PM

Had an awesome first ZDayZ and I can't wait to see you all there again next year

Memphis370Z 05-17-2015 10:42 PM

Had a good time at my first ZDayZ and looking forward to next year.

For your viewing pleasure, here is Forsberg's burnout that capped off the exhaust competition yesterday afternoon. Sorry for the somewhat potato quality. Action starts around the 2:00 minute mark.

Pat and I made it back about 6:45PM. We got the scoop on the traffic jam from Steve T. and made the detour on HW11. Saved us tons of time sitting still. Awesome time at ZDayZ as always. Now that we know how much a 45 pound hog produces, we are good to go for next year!

I made it home by 3:30 PM after getting stuck in that traffic. Worth it to skip the stops for me, IMO. Gave Steve a heads up on the traffic, glad it helped you guys out too.
