i need opinions/answers on a odd xbox one question lol

anyone have any idea on how digital downloads on new major titles will work? i ask because of titanfall. i have this OCD kinda thing with getting big titles at midnight release but i am trying to go all digital downloads for my xbox one. trying to find out if the digital download for titanfall will go live at midnight like its hard copy version?

I can't answer that definitively but its very likely that there is an authentication mechanism that will be required before anyone can play the game. So its more of a digital lock that has a timer that counts down to expiration. Once the lock is lifted at expiration then anyone can play. So what I'm getting at is, even if you got a copy of the game early, there are likely mechanisms in place that will prevent you from playing it before the developers say you can. I would presume that both will go "live" at the same time, I don't see a reason why they would differentiate between the two.

well with this being the first major title thats not a launch release its just all new. plus the digital download aspect is somewhat new for inital release since prior games even on 360 werent avaliable right away for digital downloads.

This is not new to the PC market by any stretch. I've been buying games online for close to a decade now and the model I described is how I've seen things handled most commonly in recent years. I would be surprised if the consoles did something drastically different.

well i dont play games on the PC and havent for many years. once xbox original dropped the PC has been for school paper, stealing music/movies, facebook, and porn. well now thats all on my phone lol

i just dont want to wait for a midnight release digital download then it not be up for sale and then i'm stuck with my thumb up my *** while my friends play. i just want to stay disc-less on my xbox one lol
