well with this being the first major title thats not a launch release its just all new. plus the digital download aspect is somewhat new for inital release since prior games even on 360 werent avaliable right away for digital downloads.

This is not new to the PC market by any stretch. I've been buying games online for close to a decade now and the model I described is how I've seen things handled most commonly in recent years. I would be surprised if the consoles did something drastically different.

well i dont play games on the PC and havent for many years. once xbox original dropped the PC has been for school paper, stealing music/movies, facebook, and porn. well now thats all on my phone lol

i just dont want to wait for a midnight release digital download then it not be up for sale and then i'm stuck with my thumb up my *** while my friends play. i just want to stay disc-less on my xbox one lol

Man I just don't have time for console games anymore. They're such a huge time sink. I started playing fallout new vegas right before Christmas and finished with it about a week ago.

I think with the PS4 games are available to download starting at midnight, but they take forever to download and install. I bought Madden 25 online (not at launch) and it would let you play a very limited number of things while the game finished downloading/installing. I could only play the Ravens vs 49ers game and do training drills. Everything else was locked out until the game was done installing. Not sure if this helps at all

Well even if u but a hard copy you have to install on Xbox which take roughly same amount of time.

Yeah but the download time in addition to the install time just makes it worse. Unless you start downloading at midnight and don't play till the next day, buying a physical disc will probably be the quicker way to play.

I've played Xbox before, but never owned one. Don't plan on getting one either anytime soon.

the beta was a 5gb download took about 15 min

i like because i always want to go on a killing spree when these poorly made discs fail. i've had a few do that and my friends have had discs fail within hours of buying the game.

now with xbox one making you install all games i guess that solves the issue and you can resell the game eventually.

but bright side is i was reading that they are going to start pricing digital downloads cheaper than hard copies of games. i mean it makes sense since there is no actual materials being purchased (i.e. case, manuals, discs) and also you do not have ane trade in/sell ability. well i read microsoft is doing this with xbox not sure if sony has plans on this.

thats cool..lukcily i havent had any discs fail, I'd be pissed too.

I had the orginal xbox, and loved it, then the 360 came out while i was working at best buy, and I saw just how many were coming back for issues, so I ended up getting the PS3 and havent looked back..

my first xbox360 which i had at midnight day one (nov '05) lasted until my last semester in college which was may '09. thats a awesome run considering the ungodly amount of hours i put in on that machine. it finally died and then i got another which is still alive and i gave it to my sister when the 360S model came out. that is still running at my house as well and is under my xbox one......next to a stack of about 80 games......next to many cords and a game capture device......with a music quality mic......and laptop just for game recording lol

i have mentioned i have issues right?
