Yeah, probably too loud. If all you want to do is enhance sound on the cheap you're better off doing the UK mod, which is just having bridge pipes welded in like pictured below:



The diameter of the pipe controls how loud it will be. I went with a 1.5" diameter pipe on mine and the volume was perfect.

Purely for sound.
