Damn finals were always the reason I couldn't go. You should be able to reschedule though. I mean what would you do If you got sick or something? You can always just go down there a couple says later too. Better to miss a couple days than the whole event.

I've already tried to explain this to Steve, this event is important to me on multiple levels to be able to do the full week. If I had to miss any portion of it for the stupidity that this is, I would be livid. And probably a major buzzkill for the rest, I wouldn't do that to them.

I tried to reschedule an exam in college once because I was sick. Professor said flat out, nope. So despite a 101 temperature, constantly coughing, and occasionally puking I still had to go in and take the exam with everyone else. And yes, I failed miserably so it probably would have been no different if I hadn't shown up. He was concerned about the test questions integrity being lost by giving me the same test days later and then the possibility of a different test not having the same difficulty level.

I get what he was getting at now, but damn if that didn't make me mad as hell at the time. Don't bet on being given a make up test or the professor giving you an early exam. It makes no difference to them if you pass or fail. The only person that truly cares about that is you. And you might have to make sacrifices to pass. The exam and your education are infinitely more important than hanging out at zdayz. Zdayz will be here again next year. $hit happens.

My professor has been more than willing to help out other students, so I don't feel I would have a problem with setting something up, it's just the inability to get in contact with him since the only contact info I have is the schools, which is closed...

It's for a class that doesn't matter to my program, and I'll hopefully be transferring in the fall anyways so if it bombs my GPA, it will be reset anyways. So either way, it doesn't bother me. I am just making the effort to show I've tried to contact him. I can't be faulted for doing my part.
