MAZOC Karting Challenge 27 April (Sat.)

Precisely. And you met and exceeded the limits of the kart, so this really is the same as an off-track excursion doing the real deal. In that situation, you'd be made to come back in to the pits, too. So I feel the black flag in this situation is appropriate.

Now, I don't know what others were getting flagged for - I'd love to see footage from someone who DID get flagged, like Josh, but he had no camera. I CAN tell you, however, that I was driving quite aggressively in my traffic management, and I never even got a hint of a black flag, so aggressive driving wasn't it. I never once bumped another car, nor did I ever lose control of my car.

The problem with Indoor tracks is they will most likely be Electric karts, and although its 100% torque instantly, tracks are usually shorter, cars are OFTEN governed, and the weight factors you fatties are complaining about, is even More prevalent.

Ok, well then why didn't I get black flagged when I couldn't avoid hitting Dana when she spun out? I actually made contact with another car that time... Hmmm

The flags for people spinning... mostly all around me...

I just so happened to be in the cluster of people so they kept pointing me in.

I think it's a liability thing. It's harder to sue SPK after getting hurt if SPK has proof that they warned you previously for "dangerous driving."

Watch professional racing enough and you'll notice that (aside from F1) the fastest car only wins 25% of the time. Racing is a lot like chess.

I meant, to watch. I'm not even comparing myself to the pack leaders. Maybe after I submit to some rigorous training and practice. Maybe.

S'what I'm sayin! Driving fast takes practice, practice, practice. All of these things add skill in some areas. Karting and AutoX are fantastic for control. HPDE/RDE are great for leaning what a "line" is, along with alternate lines. Do all of them, and you get very good, very fast.

I was just so pissed after the first race with losing my camera and not being able to record my runs anymore, I just set out to have the fastest time possible. Frustration leads to precision for me.

I've never seen a "good" indoor track. Passing on those may as well use the "wedge" maneuver.
