You can watch some videos of the track you will be on, and ask those of us who have been on the specific tracks for best practices for specific turns. You will start in the novice group and can leave the electronic driver aids on until you are more comfortable with you abilities and the car. You will not be the fastest on the track, but that IS NOT what those events are about.

More to come later. I'm sure this topic will come up at meets, at ZDayZ and any opportunity that you want to talk about it. Those of us who have done them a lot, or newbies all have something to provide that you can process as part of your learning experience. Be careful and have fun!
