Didn't even think of the cost of living factor.

Yeah... we were paying $2500/mo in rent. :icon17::icon17::icon17:

Well we're gonna eat somewhere. Ron and I are gonna be at the meet, then we're gonna eat, then we're gonna get lunch, then we're gonna go do the spacers.

No way dude. It'd be like, $200 maybe to get it back home. He usually charges invoice price, plus another $500 to ship the car to you, if I heard correctly.

I think that's a lot better than what you're hoping to get.

BTW, that $200 is calling for ~$100 for a southwest plane ticket, and then another $100 in gas at MOST.

I hope my mortgage payment is less than that. When they finish the hot lanes on 95 I'll be able to buy a nice house far out in the suburbs with a cheap *** mortgage. :bowrofl:

Well $2500 would be my max range for like a $500k house.

$2500 a month for a mortgage is just CRAZY. Blades, I hope you're rolling in the dough.

Uhhhh, that'd be cheap for a "$500" house, I think. Im fairly sure you'd need to spend closer to $3k to get a 500k house, and that's with a good rate.

The new job certainly helps and I'll still have my parents living with me too.

Agreed.

You have to put close to $100k down to get near $2500/mo on a $500k house.

Ah, you know...the usual. Workin', watchin' tv, sleepin', then waking up and doing it all over again. Kinda boring after awhile.

I have an 80K house.....and it's almost paid for.....it's Monterey blue in color and oddly looks like a 370Z. :icon14:

I meant my max range would be $2500. I'm just going by what my cousin told me since he's a loan officer. This doesn't include things like homeowners association fee and stuff like that though, just the mortgage.

I hope so.

MyKindaGuise 03-13-2013 01:53 PM

HOLLYYYYY CRAPPPP. I can see why cost of living is butt cheeks now. You have to make 60-70k to live down there and have nice stuff.

My rent for my townhouse is only $1000. I couldn't imagine $2500

eastwest2300 03-13-2013 01:53 PM

And I'll be in Fairfax this weekend, I gave my word.

Man that's cheap, I'm moving up there. :hello:

chieuxuan 03-13-2013 01:55 PM

Well, if you don't know how to save for the rainy days, you won't see your check at all

haha its nice man. Seeing that price I don't regret living here at all. The only down side is I don't have a garage. I hate that.lol

Cristobal09 03-13-2013 01:57 PM

Yup. To live on your own comfortably in NOVA you need to be making at minimum $60k a year. I'm talking living in a reasonably nice apartment complex. You could live in "the hood" for less.

If you actually want some disposable income I'd imagine $70k+ if you are single.

I remember having a meet at FFX and it was horrible rainy weather. We all just stood under the overhang at Starbuck's and froze. It was fun, tho.

I only see a 40% chance of precip so hopefully we get lucky. I don't want to have to work on Ron's wet brakes. :bowrofl:

Why on earth do you need a $500K house anyway? lol

Also, my fee Im counting is the escrow in hole: mortgage, plus taxes. If you're talking JUST the mortgage and not including taxes, that number only gets people interested in buying the house. You need to add like, another 30% onto a mortgage payment to get the REAL payment lol. Depending on how much property you have, of course.
