I cut the grass. Went for a run. Worked out. Took shower and then watched some foosball.

kenhdcgov 09-28-2014 06:37 PM

Hey there,
When are you guys going to hit Fairfax again? It's time that I returned, for sure!

Anyone going to be in Columbia tomorrow?

dmhenderson 10-03-2014 03:56 PM

I'm out. Car is still under the knife.

jpkirk 10-03-2014 04:10 PM

I might be there. My kiddo is coming home from college for the weekend. He might think it is fun. I was thinking KC&C would be fun too. Looks like it will be wet at that time.

chieuxuan 10-03-2014 04:42 PM

I will be @ Summit Point this weekend

Cool, well they must be treating you alright. You start really checking tire pressures after every session yet?

NOVA/DC/MD - Z's & Coffee, Saturdays at 10AM in Fairfax, VA & Columbia, MD

Why have you had to repaint so many times anyway?

dmhenderson 10-10-2014 05:31 PM

Bad luck mostly. First was the deer, 2nd was a gravel truck on a highway, 3rd was a shop gouging the hell out of my bumper somehow, 4th was a shitty paving job on a public road. Apparently, my insurance company is actually suing the county.

How many resprays before you get a free bumper? :p

That is a some terrible luck though :shakes head:

eastwest2300 10-10-2014 06:04 PM

It may be more cost efficient just to do a clear bra, although that won't protect from a deer, crappy roads, or negligence..

That's the thing. None of the reasons it has been repainted would have been prevented by clearbra.

MightyBobo 10-10-2014 07:33 PM

I don't understand the love affair with clear bras... Either you get screwed up paint, or you get a screwed up clear bra.

:iagree:

A clear bra costs about as much as it does to repaint the bumper.

Personally I'd rather just re-spray the bumper cover every 2-3 years than deal with a clear bra. IMO, clear bra is really only helpful for cars that don't see much driving to begin with. On a DD or something that's driven at least 10K a year, a clear bra is going to look like crap in a short period of time.
