Um, there's a famous dave's across the street and a buffalo wild wings not too far away. Nothing as nice as that bistro place in fairfax but w/e

m4a1mustang 11-29-2013 09:56 PM

Right, but what good would that do to get us out of the cold? FD's doesn't open until 11:30ish. If there is a cafe somewhere nearby we could go there.

Or we could all be men and stand out in the parking lot like a bunch of idiots.

m4a1mustang 11-29-2013 09:57 PM

I wonder if the Target lot will be insanely packed given what weekend it is...

It could just be a diffused meat; kinda like a Nissan 370Z version of an Easter Egg hunt.

We can just move to the famous dave's lot. They won't be open yet anyway. Always kinda wondered why we didn't go there in the first place.

So you don't have to cross a street to get to the Starbucks.

m4a1mustang 11-29-2013 10:04 PM

I've actually always wondered why we even go to Columbia Crossing. I don't like that location, but the MD folks chose it. :p

Standalone Starbucks are always better.

Who else is from Maryland? If I'm the only marylander left, can I choose a new location because I hate columbia
Everyone seems to be from VA or PA except me, Chris S, Shahid and E/W.

Edit: Seriously, if no one is coming from the Columbia/Baltimore area. It would be closer/quicker to do something in Gaithersburg or Rockville (and a more central location for people coming from both VA and PA). Hell, even Bethesda would be a more central location than Columbia which is pretty much out of everyone's way except Shahid I think.

m4a1mustang 11-29-2013 10:31 PM

Tons of MD peeps!

Y'know, we should keep a membership registry/roster with car owned and location somewhere.
We have a few PA guys too so please bear that in mind (Presto, Cody, the guy from NY who has the G and the Juke whose name escapes me right now).

We do. But it's confidential.

Why? I mean obviously you wouldn't want to publish people's addresses but their town/area + cars owned? Why would anyone take issue with that?
We don't even use our real names on the forums (except for me because I am unimaginative).

Well the basics will get on there, just not everything. Just comes down to me finding the time.

Am I reading this correctly? Is this the return of the great Alanquad? How have you been man? Coming out to Columbia in the morning?

I will be there tomorrow, so let's keep it in Columbia. The other location Jon mentioned was in the same shopping center, but the parking lot right in front of Maiwand Kabob. Much earlier this year, we noticed that it was a lot less windy since it's downhill from the Target parking lot and there's much less traffic driving through as well. Only downside is that it's a little further from Starbucks.

shadoquad 11-30-2013 12:55 AM

No, I'm not freezing my arse off with you foos tomorrow. Just trying to provide dm an answer :tiphat:

Pat and I enjoyed seeing everyone and it was a good turnout for such a cold day. Afterward we drove up to Ellicott City and went to the H-Mart in Catonsville. We stopped at "The Honey Pig" to get directions and I can tell you the smell as I walked in was amazing. Pat and I are planning to do lunch there after the next Maryland meet.

Yeah one of those just opened in Germantown and we haven't been yet. Honestly the name was kind of a turnoff.

MightyBobo 11-30-2013 03:46 PM

I am totally down to go to HoneyPig after an MD meet...

ZCarMan 11-30-2013 03:50 PM

I'm actually going to go up with Pat tomorrow for lunch and I'll get a scouting report. It looks fantastic, but I'm all about some bulgogi and other meats grilled so I don't think it will be a bad thing at all.

I've been there before. You will like it. There is a pork selection on the list, which is basically SUPER THICK BACON. I STRONGLY recommend it. lol

b1adesofcha0s 11-30-2013 06:15 PM

Not really much for me to eat there, so I'll probably skip lunch if you guys decide to go there.

m4a1mustang 11-30-2013 06:18 PM

I got some meat for ya. ;)
