I went there the other week after a columbia meet to use up a gift card I got for Christmas. Wings had too much breading on them and weren't very big. They reminded me of those nasty Wing Stop wings that pizza hut carries.

Yeah, I admit I like the sauces but the actual wings are a joke.

m4a1mustang 03-19-2013 08:11 AM

Really, though, Hacienda El Paso in Fairfax is really good and really cheap. You just have to stick to the basic stuff and it's goood. We'll go there sometime.

Tequila Grande in Vienna is also pretty good.

That sounds awesome, never heard of either of those places.

Kloby's in Laurel has amazing wings and bbq

m4a1mustang 03-19-2013 08:33 AM

We need a list of places to eat so we can start checking them off. No more repeat venues!

Yeah man, they are good. Dana is from Texas so she knows good Mexican food. She was never happy with any of the places around here until we found Hacienda El Paso. Her coworker (also a Texan) loves it too. So it must be good.

m4a1mustang 03-19-2013 09:09 AM

Ok, so I'm starting a running list of the places we have been talking about. On ZCarMan's suggestion, I think it would be a good idea for us to choose something off of this list for lunch at least once (twice - one columbia, one fairfax) a month. More can be added as we discuss food, but we should always try to cross one off each month.

Columbia

The Ale House
Clyde's
Iron Bridge Wine Company
Little Spice Thai
Sushi King

Fairfax

Hacienda El Paso
Tequila Grande
Madigan's Waterfront
Fuddrucker's
Blue Ridge Seafood

m4a1mustang 03-19-2013 09:14 AM

If I missed something or if you want something added, let me know.

Cristobal09 03-19-2013 09:22 AM

I think silver diner is what its called, the one down the road from the ffx meets? Id like to try that out.

m4a1mustang 03-19-2013 09:23 AM

Silver Diner is alright, but they are so busy and actual table space is so limited I doubt they would be able to accommodate us.

Cristobal09 03-19-2013 09:26 AM

Good point.

I actually had a good experience at Joe's crab shack thgere. Never had their seafood but its a pretty big place with good parking. The burgers were great.

m4a1mustang 03-19-2013 09:30 AM

Haha yeah I don't think Joe's seafood is really any good.

m4a1mustang 03-19-2013 09:34 AM

Build your own burger!

Cristobal09 03-19-2013 09:38 AM

Tim's river shore, its in dumfries, may be a bit of a hike but its really worth it. If its a nice enough day itd be fun I think.

Tim's Rivershore

m4a1mustang 03-19-2013 09:41 AM

Think they have enough parking to accommodate us?

Cristobal09 03-19-2013 10:00 AM

blue ridge seafood, its literally right next to my townhouse and theres tons of parking. Very good seafood at very reasonable prices.

I'm with Shado, Kloby's has some pretty solid bbq style food, great beer (draft) selection too

A little more upscale is right next door. Facci's, which is an italian spot, has amazing woodfire pizza, decent wine bar too

Once it gets warmer, Lakefront restaurants would be cool, Tomato Palace or Clydes for some outdoor seating overlooking a lake

dmhenderson 03-19-2013 10:24 AM

Clydes in Rockville is one of my favorite hidden spots. Their raw bar is the best.

Pudgies has really good wings, they're out in Clarksville. Good sauces and decent meat. I really like wings 2 go's sauces but they're wings usually lack good amount of meat and they're definitely over priced.

You should add La Palapa's to the columbia meet list. amazing fajitas and fantastic margaritas!

Oh and Kloby's is damn good too! Parking lot is horrendous though, Facci's is at the same strip mall.

The best Italian in hoco is Tino's hands down. It's more of a date place imo though but hey maybe thats what you all are looking for  Tino's Italian Bistro with Wine Bar :: Columbia, MD

Facci's is damn good too but Tino's is better.

I'll give you a straight swap Red for Blue if you want.

I will also trade you the Z1 side tubes for the Intakes as well if you will let me have your OEM black ones? It's kind of an interesting issue as the AAM intake will fit the stock tubes, but not the Z1 tubes.

So if you're down for this we can do it this weekend if you want? Let me know.

Went there for lunch yesterday. Pizza was pretty good. 2 more for the Columbia list would be Maiwand Kabob and Mimi's Kabob.

if you guys want some good, I mean reallllly good soul food, we can go to the family owned carry out that I worked at for 2 years haha

Chick N Trout in Randallstown, best friend chicken/fish you'll ever eat, and yes there are collard greens, sweet potatoe, mac and cheese, etc! hahah

b1adesofcha0s 03-19-2013 11:35 AM

I actually work just down the street from Tino's.

Sales@AAMComp 03-19-2013 11:39 AM

Sounds like a good place to start trying stuff... not to far either. Rob and I have had a hard time finding good wing places around here.
