I also have the XDM's hot little sister the XDS.  An original XDS in .45 ACP not the new 9mm version.  Great gun! The recoil was less than I expected considering the size. However it is an very un-forgiving pistol. If ya mis-handle her, she lets you know!  What I mean is that if you don't have a proper, firm, "manly" grip she won't cycle all the way. Fails to go into battery. I personally have had no cycling issue when I shoot her but other people have (my pistol specifically). Usually the cause is them using a "Holly Wood" grip and/or limp wristing it. Once I correct their grip the issue usually goes away. Enjoy your purchase Bobo! You certainly waited long enough for it.
