Dude, why couldnt you? I would think if you broke them down, and reassembled them once out at the range, you'd be good right?

I don't think so. Only MD residents can carry their guns to an MD range as far as I know.

Dude, I dont know about that? I mean how would a range know if the weapon was bought in MD or VA, I mean would they really check?

The range might not know/care, but if I got pulled over on my way, I'd be f***ed!

The only time I could go through MD with my guns is if I'm travelling through. Then I'm protected by the federal transport law.

Bring the 5.0 inside the range and say you're just traveling through. You can practice your drive-by shooting GTA style

I think thats the reason for you breaking them down, and then reassembling them. Just for that purpose, if you did get pulled over.

I still feel like that's violating state law, which I don't want to do.

MARYLAND—The unlicensed transportation of handguns in vehicles is prohibited, except for a variety of lawful purposes, including target shooting. A handgun must be transported unloaded and in an enclosed case or holster with a strap.

I travel to about 17 states a year for competitions and I usually drive but sometimes I fly. I am a resident of Indiana but I live in MD due to being stationed here in the military.

We have competitions here in MD and people come from other states all the time to shoot.
