when i did the axxess on my honda, the thing sync'ed up immediately to the steering controls. no programming, etc. but that thing about axxess not having any delay vs pac is not accurate. both have like a 9-12ms latency but they work flawlessly.  it's not bad at all and worth every penny to install in your car
