i amazoned the upcoming, upgraded ZEP's albums: deluxe 1st lp edition and remastered (again, sigh...) 2nd and 3rd CD onliest...i gotta tell ya, those first 2 ZEP albums caught me by surprise back in the day...i was in the air farce when 1 came out and had no idea/clue...still in servitude, 2 hit w/GWLL and it was on...to later discover 1 was like finding a treasure---what great blues!!!!...and i wasn't a blues man...i could really sing back then and all i could think of was i wished i was still rollin' around with my buds when these 8 tracks hit coz i could really belt 'em out...GREAT, GREAT MUSIC...

how could you NOT...i never got into 'heavy metal' much past the brilliance of this group's example...i just did not...i ventured off into jazz fusion and latin rock and, as is/was my wont, singer/songwriter...

to me, that's a really progressive choice as a number one pick...this was a surprise, delightfully, after the kinda weird turn on 3 (and the discharge time from the service...no strong vocals/no sense of me)...by the tme it came out i was m,arried and wondered if'n my kids would climb or swarm rocks some day...
