hummmm... can you trim the bottom of the plate with shears + filing/dremel without making it look too obvious you trimmed it?

The unlit cream color is not ideal, I agree. I wish they were naturally the frosted white color that my LEDs make them. But for whatever reason, I dislike the pattern on the clear lenses. I like the smooth frosted look over the patterned look more than I do the clear over the frosted cream color. Different strokes for different c0cks folks

It's a non issue when installed as Stillen recommends. See my post above for the gist of it.
