ms pint- usually wait a good day for base coat to dry before i apply clear.

give it 48hrs to be sure. then after you apply clear, dont touch it for 3wks minimum. you can wash the car, but try not to rub at it or anything.

mr.alcheng- they can't really.... they just lease.

affording a car to own (title) vs affording monthly payments is completely different.

I don't have any experience with the Trofeo specifically. Pirelli is a good brand, sometimes overpriced. Got a line on a good deal? You're going to need something stickier for the track aren't you?

Sorry to be the voice of doom here, but you need to find out if the paint the shop is using is water based or solvent based. The nail polish may not be the best thing to apply to water based paint.

You need to just take a deep breath and relax on this. Let the guys fix the paint before worrying about clearing it. If you are going to put clear bra over the spot anyway, you'll never that it was never clear coated.

When I painted the backings for my Z badges, I didn't clear them because I was applying clear bra to them.

They were a PERFECT match to the rest of the car.

Pint you've got way too much going for you to continually stress over these types of things and making yourself sick. IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

I want to see a smiley face from you young lady!

I was just looking into some tires for street use... something to replace the OEM tires with for daily driving..

with Mr. Gurney. When I can afford for the Z to not be a DD, then I will buy a new body kit, get it clear bra'd and give away all my OEM body kit For now, I just don't worry about them even though they suck and I hate them forever!

mr. jar- i think 370Z's are meant to be driven. so im actually envious if someone can brave the stupid in rush hour traffic, the idiot landscapers, mofo brats that key cars, dumb birds that only crap on clean cars, hail, snow, sleet, salt, ice melt, chocolate, eggs, soda cans, water bottles, septic water splashing into face, horse crap, bugs, rats, pollen, bee crap, etc. etc. etc.
