Apple locks $hit down so their device just plain works for people who don't care. This is why I am a Windows guy and not an Apple guy when it comes to computers. ( Click to show/hide ) I got into Apple because the Android equivalent was far behind at the time, and I have no reason to switch to Android now when I can jailbreak my iPhone and I have an Android tablet. The best thing about the iPhone is being able to sell the old one for the price of a new one with contract. I paid $200 for the iPhone 3 as well as each upgrade since. And each upgrade I sold my old version still jailbroken for well over $200, except for one I sold for $180 with a broken back piece.
