Now that I think about it I've never shot a revolver at night. Got to do that some time for S&Gs.

Love seeing the muzzle blast when shooting my 50 DE in low light.
Not recommended to do it in the pitch black.
Did that once, couldn't see for a few moments.

I've done a lot of shooting at night. If you're reloading. A fast burning powder helps with the night time flash. A slow burning powder will give you a big flash. As it is still burning outside the barrel.

Oh I know the difference between fast and slow burning powders.
I only use factory loads in my 50 DE at the moment. It's a toy and it is not worth it yet to reload for it but I definitely have been saving my brass for it. Awhile back I stumbled upon standard 50AE Hornady Custom ammo for very cheap in a gun store I happened to visit. It was almost half the cost of the cheapest on line price I could find so I bought as much as I could. Still working through it.

Kind of like owning a 44 AutoMag. I shot one and enjoyed it.

Then I started checking out the ammo situation. The only company making it at that time was Norma and it was way beyond my E5 budget....

Then I looked at reloading for it... step one: Cut down .308 brass to make case... Oh fvck no.... I need my .308 brass......
