It fits the AR-15 platform, not a standard AR-15. Per Wikipedia: "a new barrel, magazine and bolt are required to convert to the 6mm ARC." Seems like a stiffer recoil spring might be needed but maybe not. Appears to be an easy conversion if one has the right tools.

Interesting concept, especially for hunters, but I like the AR-15 because of the light recoil. A .243 ain't bad but a tad more than what I prefer for the plinking that I do.

Funny, I heard the same thing when the 6.8 SPC came out. I've got a 6.8 that is on the AR15 platform & I have an AR-10. I like my 6.8, it's comfortable to shoot, much more than my 1903A3 Springfield.

But then again, it's a bolt action over a gas-operated system.

There's a company that makes something called a Warlock, that makes changing calibers easy. The upper stays the same, but they have a locking mechanism that allows you to change barrels (and BCG) to a different caliber.
