A M1 is on my list to get, then I will have all the 'modern era' wood stock battle rifles. Going back older than the 1903A3 will require more $$$, but then again, maybe not. I like ones that I can shoot and are in decent shape. My 03A3 is a Smith Corona rifle, looks brand new and shoots well as long as the operator does his part. I paid $250 for it back in the 80s.
