There's probably going to be some haters on this (my wife is one of them), but I had an extra shotgun lying around, so I started to playing with ideas to make it a little more unique...
Ended up turning it into a bullpup. Took about 10 inches off of the total length. ![]() Here's a quick 'photochop' of the before and after from some stock photography any my phone camera for comparison.

The kit is produced by a company called Bullpup Unlimited. Currently they make a kit for the Mossberg 500/590 as well as the Remington 870. I was a little dubious about it at first, but after installing it I'm quite pleased. It feels solid and even more comfortable than the original.
