Been researching the 338LM lately. Looking for one that I don't have to put much it to it. The Savage got my interest. Also looking at a few others. Remington with the aluminium chassis for one. But most of them are over 3 grand. So I'm still deciding. I reload, so the price don't bother me. But getting powder is another issue. I'm been on backorder for 8 months for 8lbs of TAC and ARComp for my AR's.

the Savage 110 FCP ( with the scope I have) is all in under 3k and as my brother told me yesterday through text message ( he has it on the military range) and said " the thing shoot fire!"

I have yet seen a bad review of the 338LM Savage.

the only thing I would say about it is that if you get the 110 BA .... the thing weighs 18 pounds! its a tank of a gun in weight . a brute.

one of the big reasons I went with the FCP

.......WITH the H&S Precision stock!........ ALOT lighter.......... go to a place that has both the 110 BA and the 110 FCP with the H&S precision stock, both are Magnum ..... feel the difference!
