I wouldn't be shocked if they come from the factory with the serial number filed off. It's a good option if the HiPoint is out of your price range. I've got a couple of similar KelTecs. Not sure why I own them, and they're not worth enough to sell.

Kinda like a Sterling 380 I've got. It shoots okay, but I can't take it apart because the take down screw broke and my gunsmith refuses to work on Sterlings.....
