After many years of trying to convince him, my friend finally sold me this baby. It is a S&W 686 Combat and the trigger is dreamy:

They're nice shooting revolvers. I have 2 of them. A 4" which I used to carry when I worked at the one job I had. And a 6" which was my first wife's revolver.

I've always liked the action on the 686. It's on my list of guns to get, moving it's way to the top.

I also have a Ruger GP100 4" in stainless which I also love. If I had to choose between it and the 686, I would probably go with the S&W since it holds one more round.

There is just something about a wheelgun...and it can't be beat in regard to reliability.

I've been wanting one for years, but I always end up buying autos. Nothing more beautiful than a Smith and Wesson medium or large frame revolver.

Sort of. It's proprietary. So as to not be a "variant" of something nasty and to qualify as non-restricted here in Canada. I can acutally hunt with this thing!

Nothing like sorting through 2000 Sierra .224, 69gr. Match King bullets. Each bag is .001" difference in length. Had one bullet at .007", and two bullets at .019". Can you say flyers!

Everything else fell in between.

Why the red thing on the caliper?? I have noticed if I compress a load I deform the tip of the hollow point making the OAL longer. Other times when I don't deform the tip my OAL can still very with the calipers even though my settings never touched. I'd say my loads can range from 2.240-2.258.

And PS I thought I was anal and loading and sorting.
