Never use? I go to the range a lot and some of the guns serve defensive roles. I hope to never have to use those ones. :)

And I still spend money on the 5.0.

Ah this is why belgium is so much safer.

guns are outlawed for 95% of the civilians. only guns you can get are hunting rifles and you have to get tested and have your mental state evaluated before you can get a permit.

thus gun related crimes are extremely rare here.

though....the fact that I know that I will be firing guns at a range in june is making me feel all tingly.

BLM 03-16-2011 09:31 AM

Would love to get into collecting firearms but NJ has horrific gun laws it's nearly not worth it. Check this:

Chris Christie commutes gun sentence of Brian Aitken Hot Air

Thank the Lord that we finally have a Conservative Governor, and if he didn't commute the sentence this poor guy would have been in jail for...transporting legally purchased firearms, legally stored, to his new home.

Crime is not a gun problem. Crime is a people problem. Just because I have a gun doesn't make me any more or less dangerous than any other person. It's just a tool.

But that's fine. You grew up in an anti-gun society so you are trained to believe that guns are bad and that's just fine. To each society their own, as it were. :)

I dunno man. This morning, I found that two of my guns had hopped out of my safe and killed three people.

BLM 03-16-2011 09:46 AM

Oh no!! No politics! (even though I brought it up lol)

But in response to the safety of Belgium comment, I'd have to adamantly disagree with the reasoning. In Amsterdam everything is legal. Drugs, hookers, etc. Their crime rates are very low. In the US, said practices are illegal. Our crime rates related to drugs are extremely high.

Google "The Phoenix Solution"

Good read. Guns don't kill people. People who talk out of their a$$ get killed by people with functioning brains.

I hope to one day move to Texas where I can enjoy the weather, food, fishing, conservative philosophy, and no state income tax.

it's been proven that in areas of the US that the populace carry weapons, there are less gun crimes, because criminals are too afraid to pull their piece...

as to why anyone needs a gun? one word... Zombies... it's true... you can never be to prepaired... look at it this way, with that .50 cal mounted on top of my blazer, i can sit and blast groups of zombies from a mile away.. :happydance:

One of the reasons why I wish it would be legal for me to open carry an MP5. :icon18:

Yea I'm not too keen on leaving my family, but I hate NJ. I'd probably have to locate near a suburb of Dallas, or anywhere where there's an affluent community. Not that I'm affluent, but my clients generally are. Though I'd go to most/all of the Rangers-Yankees and Giants-Cowboys games, I'd really miss my NJ Devils. Could do satelite and all but I've had season tix for 15 years. Small price to pay I suppose for a completely different lifestyle and community.

I'm a socially liberal, fiscally conservative, 2A supporting 'til the day I die mess of an independent. Virginia seems to work pretty well for me. NOVA is fairly liberal but the state is very 2A friendly (right to carry open, shall issue concealed permits) and even everyone in NOVA respects that for the most part.

I'm thankful for the southern virginians for preserving those rights, but I do try to stay away from them:roflpuke2:

I do recommend against OCing in, say, Alexandria. You will likely spend a night in jail while they clear things up.

I read the the NOVA OC thread over at the Open Carry forum and it seems like most places are pretty cool about it. But yeah, I wouldn't want to risk some hipster freaking out (if they even notice) and calling the cops on me.

I think OC should be fine in FFX, Prince William, etc... the less uber lib hipster places.

A lot of places are fine to do it. I personally don't OC, but I also don't object to it. I just don't want to be the gun world's ambassador to the world....

I know a lot of people who have OC'd all through NOVA without incident, but you just never know. I've heard of a handful of cases were things got out of hand, and it would just suck to be in one of those situations.

Same way I feel. I don't want to be "that guy." I feel more comfortable with only me knowing.

I think every citizen should carry a sidearm and an M4 or similar in their vehicle. If some terrorists ever try to pull some of that Mumbai crap here it wouldn't last for long!

Lou Fusz told me to stay out of STL if I wanted to live. So I just drove straight through to his dealership. He assaulted me there, but that's a whole different story.

If nobody has a gun crimes like the highschool shooting would probably not of happened like they are now.

I doubt a 15 year old has connections enough to get into the gun black market.

worse that could happen is stabbing crimes. not some idiot going nuts with a machine gun :roflpuke2:.

and me anti-guns? did you miss the part where I am getting excited about coming to america and going to a gun range?

I want to fire a P90 so ******* badly.

haggomyeggo 03-16-2011 01:34 PM

Fusz told you that and he is out in Ladue/Frontenac.

By anti guns I meant anti-armed citizens. :icon17:

Guns are all we have to protect ourselves against an armed criminal base, or even our own government, as was intended in The Constitution.

Well I can understand in america's case kinda.

you guys were FOOOOOLS to give everyone guns now you HAVE to keep guns to protect yourselfs but at the same time criminals keep getting guns easily thus making a never ending circle of DESTRUCTION AND CHAOS

LOL yes tell me more about BELGIUM, the land of opportunity. This thread needs to be locked soon, for all the greatness of Belgium will be upon us! You should read a little before you run your mouth. Nobody is "given" a gun, and the vast majority of gun related crime is done with firearms that are purchased without a permit. Stay across the pond, we have enough Euro-centric ignorance as it is in the Oval Office.

PS Belgium will be an exclusively Muslim state within 15-20 years. Enjoy.

Gotta go book my next vaca to Belgium. LOL wow.
