Just put in for my NM elk hunt for next fall. :yum: Have to wait for the draw next month to see if I get a license. Going to be using my Rem 700, 7mm Rem Mag with a 168 Berger bullet. Have to work on that load. Haven't used it before.

Do you use supports? (bipod on rifle, shooting stick, full tripod with lock, or just shoot prone and use your arms) Is there a threshold of magnification you can stand and use your rifle with? So that higher magnification requires sitting, prone or some method of support. What's the highest magnification you've used in the field? I'm leery of higher magnifications on scopes, it's a sucker bet with telescopes and binoculars which fuels my suspicions here. Thanks in advance |
TiborasaurusRex does a good job on explaining things on his Sniper 101 videos. He covers everything, including optics.

I bought a P320 80% that I'm very excited about

Anyone here use or care to comment on the SIG SAUER ROMEO AND JULIET ROMEO 4H?

If Sig's optic's are as good as their gun's I would not be concerned about the quality. I haven't heard anything bad about the Romeo Red dots but with a design similar to Holosun I'm not sure if it is worth spending almost double on the SIG. I have a few Holosuns and they are solid optics. Edit: After doing a little research it seams that Sig red dots use proprietary mounts, where as almost all of the Holosun red dots use Aimpoint style mounts giving you more options in the mounts category. |
I had a chance to get the pair for about $450. I passed. You are right about the mounts and that concerns me.
I am looking at the Sig Romeo 1x30 for the DE too. Making some comparisons. |
parts for the Sig P320 build have started arriving. the Jig is on back order so I'm waiting on that then I just need the magazine and the barrel/slide/spring.

The most satisfying video of the day. I want to tweet this one to David Hogg.

Picked up a gen 5 19x to use in a micro roni. Expensive but at least it came with 1-17, 2-19 and nightsites. I wanted the color too and the 4 different backstraps is cool. I havent bought a glock in 14 years so its kinda old familiar coming back.

The 460 is the best revolver S&W makes! My neighbor got one when they first came out. I loved shooting it but the people close the you at the range hate it. |

It is not like the movies where it fires over your head or they turn it sideways. Weight is about 11pounds. You need to hold a little weight on the front. It moves around in a small circular manor.Quite acurate. |

9MM about 9 pounds.Once its cocked your ready to rock.Only full auto.Slower rate of fire than the Thompson. |

I put this in firearm section.Browning 50s to protect the fortress. You had to complete 25 combat missions to get out.Which was almost immpossible. One in 4 crews would make 12 to 14 missions before killed or shot down.Less than 1% made the 25 missions. My father was a Bombardier in WW2.Never talked about war until very late in life.I did get to go through a B17 with him before he died.Telling me stories of hanging in open bomb bay doors kicking bombs loose. This is later on.My brother and I flew on B17.I got to ride in the glass nose in front where my father would have sat.One of the pics is of my Dads Bombardier wings. My Grandson is in service now.Too all who serviced in past or currently serving.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE |
