One of my co-workers has a CC with a cash back program that he perceives to be favorable...he charges all of his monthly expenses...then pays the entire balance in full each month...he says he uses to the cash back rewards to pay for his gas and going out to lunch habit.

He's a CPA-CFA like me and probably has good discipline and a borderline obsessiveness about his monthly personal P&L though...it's the only way to make a plan like that work.

we do the same thing! Cabelas has a great program and they have things for all of us....walk away w free stuff every year! Very cool!

some people can't do it because their self worth is based on the property they own.. I know a few airmen like that.. and it's rough because you can't **** up financially in the military
