I just had that happen last week and started the new job situation this past Monday. They sank the ship while I was out of town, so I joined another crew when I returned

I have been talking with this company for THREE months and have accepted their incredibly generous offer. I am only waiting to clear the background check (a few years back that would have been iffy). My record is clean (now), they have called my references, ran my credit and checked out my degress. I should know the results today or Monday, latest. I am ready to go. This process has been a killer. It is incredibly difficult for me to "pretend" everything is cool and groovy at work when this is looming heavy over me.

JAR in your new job do you have access to high time helicopter turbines and transmissions? It is one of my ultimate goals to build a turbine powered vehicle.
