It works great, just wipe some on with a paper towel or shop towel, and rub in circles and it will start coming off, you can use liberally if you like. It will come off and you'll see the clean metal, I'll usually give it one last wipe down with this as well. If you see any small black specs (carbon deposits) you can easily pick those off with a fingernail or toothpick. Then just buff out the rest.

Finally, come back with a MF cloth for the final polish, and viola. You see the results. Brings your FI back from used to practically brand new. And the other added bonus, is the more you use it, the longer it takes for deposits to build up later, and they come off even easier.
