Can someone please explain to me the purpose of a $5000 deductible?!? What's that? You can't? Didn't think so...

Yeah, so apparently my wife's new company has the worst fvcking insurance policy available. Facility is going to charge $2K and the Dr costs nearly $3K to do the surgery - just short of our deductible. We just got
