Ok, someone help me figure this out.
Turned off my car earlier and heard a fast ticking type noise coming from the rear of car and what I think was the exhaust. I looked under the car and didn't see any obvious issues but the ticking went on for a least 5 minutes while I was down there and was still going as I left the garage. I'm running FI TDX 18" res if it matters.

Does the ticking noise sound like metal??

Mostly because the metal part got heated from driving... you should be fine...

Kind of sounded like it. I've never heard her make this noise though.

Most likley just the heated metal, I wouldn't think it's anything to worry about. Did you drive for a long, spirited time before you turned the car off?

Had been driving all morning, car was off during the expendables. Did a 5 minute drive home from the theater and maybe accelerated to hard in the final stretch?

Usually ticking noises from metal is just heated metal cooling off.

Is it cool out? That may have made it more noticeable...hot exhaust-cool ambient air temp...
